Kriski suffered from serious viral Pneumonia a decade ago, in November 2010. He took a sick leave for two months due to health problems. His condition worsened when he contracted vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE) at the hospital, which resisted medication and antibiotics. Kriski’s lungs were full of fluid, and his heart was also in critical condition. He was intubated for two weeks and had to undergo a second operation to remove the fluid. Further, upon recovering, Kriski said he lost a few pounds due to his illness, but his energy was back. He joined the work in Feb. 2011.
