Sandoval is the weekend sports anchor and reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News. He attended Metro State College where he graduated with a degree in sports communication in 1986. Since graduating, Sandoval has worked for eight different TV stations.

Sandoval also worked a season in media relations with the Denver Broncos football club during John Elway’s third year. Sandoval spent six years anchoring and reporting in San Diego. For his work at ABC7, he has won several awards, including two Emmys.
Sandoval is an avid runner and has competed in several marathons and also finished several Ironman Triathlons. Sandoval’s motivation to finish the 140-mile endurance event was to raise $5,000 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. He also won an Emmy for his three-part series on the California Ironman.
