Amber Lee is an American Meteorologist and Weather Anchor/Reporter working for KCBS-TV – CBS2 / KCAL9. She joined the station in September 2012.

She earned her master’s degree in journalism from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, and received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies at California State University in California, Northridge. Lee earned her certificate in meteorology through Mississippi State University’s Broadcast Meteorology Program.

Lee serves at CBS2 / KCAL9 as a meteorologist. A Southern California native, Lee came to KCBS-TV after working for KOAT-TV in New Mexico, Albuquerque, as a fill-in meteorologist and a reporter for three years. She has also worked for KSBY-TV as a Weekend Weather Anchor/Reporter for 3 years.
In 2011, Lee was recognized by the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau as “Reporter of the Year” for her coverage of one of the worst droughts in state history. Lee’s reporting called for concentration on the hundreds of ranchers who bought insurance through the government and were then denied claims. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and exploring the outdoors. Lee speaks Mandarin and makes delicious potstickers.
