Ariella Scalese Biography
Ariella Scalese is an American journalist working as a meteorologist for WBKO ABC13 News. Ariella is initially from beyond Philadelphia. In her spare energy, Ariella appreciates working out, perusing, and being outside.
She enjoys discovering new climbing trails with her partner and dog, and you’ll hear a lot about her dog Bogey on AM Kentucky/Midday Live. It was on the fifth level that Ariella realized she wanted to become a Broadcast Meteorologist.
During a career day, a local meteorologist came to her study hall and talked about what it was like to work in his position. Ariella had always enjoyed math and science and had a bubbly personality, so she thought it would be a perfect fit!

Ariella describes the perfect weather day as sunny and 75 degrees. Her favorite season is summer because she loves the beach, but she also enjoys the smells and decorations of fall.
She was a gymnastics specialist for many years and a high school/college cheerleader, so she has plenty of energy and enthusiasm! Ariella is a self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast and has a variety of machines for different ways of enjoying a smooth blend.

Before WBKO she worked at PHL17 in Philadelphia, Spectrum News NC in Raleigh, WSAV in Savannah, GA, and started out in the business at KGNS in Laredo, TX.
Ariella graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Earth and Environmental Science and proceeded with her meteorology schooling through Mississippi State University.
