Channing Tatum Biography

Channing Tatum is an America actor. He was born on 26th April, 1980,  in Cullman, Alabama. Channing  spent his teenage life in the Tampa area.and initially attended Gaither High School.

Channing Tatum started schooling at Gaither Highschool, he was later enroled in Tampa Catholic High School. In 1998 he graduated  and was picked as most athletic. He then joined Glenville State College in Glenville, West Virginia on a football scholarship, though he dropped out. He  got back  home and started working on casual jobs.

While in the street of Miami he decided to signed with a modeling agency, he started  appearing in print ads for brands such as Nautica, Gap, American Eagle Outfitters and Abercrombie & Fitch. He first work in front of a motion picture camera came when he was cast as a dancer in the music video of Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs”. she also took part in television commercials for the likes of Pepsi and Mountain Dew.

Channing began his acting career in 2004, with a small role on TV’s CSI: Miami. later he decieded to pursue acting full-time, in 2005 he was  first featured in the  film role came the next year in the drama Coach Carter, opposite Samuel L. Jackson. in the same year,  Tatum had small roles in Havoc, Supercross and Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds.

He married  Jenna Dewan. The couple  met while they were filming the 2006 movie “Step Up.” They married in 2009 and have a young daughter together. After  being together for nine years together, the pair announced their decision to “lovingly” separate as a couple on 2nd April 2018.

In 2005 Channing made his film debut in the drama film Coach Carter. in 2006 he came to be known through his role was in the dance film Step Up, that led   him to a wider audience. In the acttion movie of 2009 G.I. Joe, He is known for his portrayal of the character Duke. In the The Rise of Cobra and its 2013 sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation. G.I. Joe films were commercially successful though they received negative reviews and critics, they, grossing more than $300 million at the box office.

Channing  is as well known for his leading role in Magic Mike in 2012 and its sequel, Magic Mike XXL in 2015.  he also starred in the action-comedy film 21 Jump Street and its 2014 sequel, 22 Jump Street. Channing played a big 2006, playing  the lead roles in Step Up and She’s the Man. He also had  a primary role in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, that won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and as well being in the Tatum nominations for both Gotham and Independent Spirit awards.

In the years  2007 and 2008, he  hit the big screen in 2009 with two high-profile projects, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Michael Mann’s Public Enemy, which also starred Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.

In 2009 Channing he had to change  from the action dramas, as he took the lead in the romantic drama Dear John and featured in the comedy The Dilemma. Channing  found himself once again working together with Steven Soderbergh in 2012, (who directed him in Havoc) with Magic Mike, a film about an enterprising male stripper. In 2013 his schedule saw him reprising his role of Duke in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and brought him and Soderbergh together for a third time in The Bitter Pill.

Tatum was heard lending his voice to animated fare like The Lego Movie and The Book of Life in 2014, as well his co-starring in the blockbuster sequel 22 Jump Street. Seen on screens in the fall, Tatum portrayed wrestler Mark Schultz in the critically acclaimed drama Foxcatcher, co-starring Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo.

He later returned to his very popular role as a male stripper in the sequel Magic Mike XXL in 2015. The same year  he also starred in the sci-fi epic Jupiter Ascending, and he got a supporting part in the Quentin Tarantino Western The Hateful Eight.

Remaining busy with his usual array of roles, Tatum featured prominently in the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar! (2016), He later  reunited with Soderbergh for the heist comedy Logan Lucky of 2017 and the returned to voice work for The Lego Batman Movie of 2017 and Smallfoot of 2018.

He also signed on for a remake of the 1980s classic Splash, and was ready to throw his sculpted physique into the world of superhero blockbusters with Gambit, an X-Men spinoff  taht was set for  2019 release.
