Hailee Steinfeld Biography

Hailee Steinfeld was born on December 11, 1996 in Tarzana, California to  one Peter Steinfeld who was a personal fitness trainer and one Cheri Domasin who was an interior designer.She is an accomplished American actress, model and singer who started acting when she was only 8 years old after she saw a close family friend in a school play.

Hailee Steinfeld Career

Hailee Steinfeld began acting at the age of eight where she appeared in several short films, including in the role of Talia Alden in the award-winning  She’s a fox.She made several television guest appearances and commercials  up until she was chosen for the role of Mattie Ross in True Grit when she was 13.The film was released internationally in December, 2010.

Her strong and confident performance earned her numerous critical awards and many people already got a glimpse of the star she was about to become. There was no stopping Hailee from there on as she now has a successful acting and singing career for herself and has starred in major movies like the ‘Pitch Perfect 2’.

After ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Hailee was signed on by Republic Records in May 2015. She was hired by the company after listening to her sing in the movie.

On July 15, 2016 Hailee came out with her new single ‘Starving’ in collaboration with Grey and featuring Zedd. This song is her biggest hit till date and has gone double platinum in Australia and triple platinum in Canada.

She also starred in the movie ‘Edge of Seventeen’ and her performance was met with a lot of positive reviews from the critics and also earned her a Golden Globe Nomination.

Hailee has had a few boyfriends in the past two of them being  Douglas Booth and Jack Antonoff. Douglas was Hailee’s co-star in the Shakespearean adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.
