Jade Hernandez is a general assignment reporter for ABC7 Los Angeles. She joined ABC7 from her sister station in Chicago but has spent more time telling stories in California than anywhere else in the country.

During her 20-year career in journalism, Hernandez has reported in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Kansas City, Missouri.
A third-generation Mexican-American, Hernandez began reporting in Topeka, Kansas, where she was born and raised, and where she developed her Midwest values.
