Not to mention that she is a renowned personality in the broadcasting industry. Amy is based in Muncie, Indiana. She is also in a charitable trust. in addition to working as a host for KSBY 6, The famous anchor has also been on KREY and UPN affiliate KLBC TV2. Her career skyrocketed when an opportunity opened up at Fox 2. Andrews is one of the senior and veteran media personalities.

After graduating from college Andrews moved to Colorado to work as an anchor/reporter for a small television station on the Western Slope. She says she can remember looking in her rearview mirror as she drove away from her home in metro Detroit thinking “someday I will be back working for FOX 2 News”.
Amy made the switch from sports to the news at KREY, and the next stop UPN affiliate KLBC TV2. She also worked as a host for KSBY 6. Multiple years later not to mention she began working a job at a WNEM TV5 in Saginaw market. Amy started as a weekend host and served her way up to morning presenter and co-anchor for a lifestyle program. But in 2001’s September, her career dreams come true when an opportunity opened up at Fox 2. Amy co-anchors FOX 2 News Morning and “Live at 11”. Jason Carr has also previously worked for Fox 2 as a news anchor and reporter. She also created Amy’s Angels franchise to highlight those making a difference in their communities and beyond.

Andrews is married to Rodney Thomas. The couple got married in 2008. Her husband is a school principal as a matter of fact he spends quality time with his family in his spare time. The pair is blessed with a daughter named Grace Elizabeth. The precious girl was born in January 2010.

On 16 July 2018 Amy and her husband went to MI Children’s Hospital and Henry Ford Health System to donate $200,000. She even shared the snap with her fans in one of her social media accounts. Amy is often seen enjoying her quality time with her daughter Grace, either going out or capturing funny pictures.
When she is not on the anchor desk she is out in the community making a difference. She is heavily involved with Gleaners Community Food Bank furthermore she is an ambassador for C.A.T.C.H Children’s Charity. She also facilitated FOX 2’s media partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is very active with the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America, Habitat for Humanity, the American Heart Association and lastly Angels of Hope.
