Megan Colarossi joined CNN in 1997 and she was working behind the camera at the cable network’s Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta bureaus.
She quickly rose from an associate producer to a senior producer and produced some of the long format programs in CNN including CNN Newsstand: Entertainment Weekly, CNNfn Entrepreneurs Only, and Headline News Primetime Live.
After working at CNN for 4 years, she made a move to MTV News back in 2001. She was the assistant managing editor and a senior producer for this music channel. She was involved in numerous interviews. For the next 6 years, she traveled around the world writing and producing award-winning pro-social programs including the war in Iraq, the Tsunami in Indonesia, and also the poverty crisis in Africa.
She quit the TV life and in 2006, she co-wrote a fiction novel, Spooning(Random House). She then followed her love for indoor cycling nad helmed marketing and PR for an unknown NYC spinning studio, SoulCycle in 2007. She hosted a TODAY.com digital series with Willie called Parental Guidance.
The two tackled dilemmas that moms and dads face every day. She then became a daily panelist on the nationally syndicated talk show, The Meredith Vieira Show, on NBC as from 2015-2016. In the Fall of 2016, Megan co-hosted The Way Home, a weekly, lifestyle and home makeover series on the A&E Network. The show was a go-to source for décor, design, tips, tricks, hacks, and how-tos for the home and family.

Megan Named Host of Good Day LA
Effective immediately, Megan Colarossi will fill the anchor seat next to Steve Edwards. Colarossi replaces Maria Sansone. TVSpy reported she was let go from the station in January.
“Megan has proven to be the perfect combination of intelligence and warmth, and will be a dynamic addition to our morning team,” said KTTV vice president and news director, Kristine Knusten.
Most recently, Colarossi co-hosted “The Way Home,” a weekly lifestyle and home makeover series on the A&E Network. Prior to that, she was a daily panelist on “The Meredith Vieira Show.” In 2013, launched a regular segment The Today Show and Today.com with Willie Geist.
Colarossi, who is a Southern California native, calls this a true homecoming.
“I grew up here, went to school here, and my parents still live here. I am looking forward to some good home cooking, getting down to work, and sharing the stories that matter to Southern California.”
Colarossi is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human and Organizational Development and Communications.
