Maria Molina Biography

Maria Molina is an American meteorologist born on 7 April, 1987 in Nicaragua. She was previously the on-air meteorologist for the Fox News Channel, a U.S. television network, from 2010 to 2016.

She is also a part time meteorologist at WJBK Fox2 in Detroit mainly on weekend newscasts.

Molina graduated cum laude from Florida State University in 2008, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology and minors in Mathematics and Communications in 2008. She also completed the University Honors Program and the Honors in the Major Program requirements while at Florida State University.

Molina graduated in 2005 with a Masters of Arts degree in Climate and Society from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Molina pursued her PhD at Central Michigan University where she was also a graduate research assistant. She graduated from Central Michigan University on 3 May 2019.

In the network, she also appeared on the Fox Business Network, Fox News Radio, Fox News Latino, and Fox Sports Networks.

She left Fox News on September 6, 2016 to pursue her PhD at Central Michigan University.

Molina said that she’s “forever grateful” to Fox News for the opportunity to cover numerous significant weather events like Superstorm Sandy and the Japan tsunami in 2011.
