Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York– Monday, January 29, 2018– WGAL News 8 has announced that Brittany Garzillo has joined WGAL 8 as the new weekday evening Traffic Anchor on WGAL News 8 at 4 pm and 5 pm. Her debut was Monday, January 22. Following the early evening newscasts, Garzillo will serve as a general assignment reporter for WGAL News 8 at 10 pm on WGAL 8.2 and WGAL News 8 at 11 pm on WGAL 8.1.
Garzillo is an Emmy Award-winning journalist from the Lehigh Valley. Prior to working at WGAL 8, she worked as a Reporter and Producer for PBS in Bethlehem, PA where she received 13 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award nominations for her work. In 2015, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants honored Garzillo with a Pennsylvania Truth in Finances Award for her reporting.
