Breanne entered the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 2002. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, in 2006. While there, she was associated with the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). She had to sell her childhood horse prior to going to college. Since she could not afford her own horse, Breanne would travel to Stephens College in the same vicinity, and ride there. She even received credit hours for her riding.

Breanne began her foray into the world of journalism as a news reporter for WGEM-TV in Quincy, Illinois. She remained with this establishment until July 2007. Thereafter, from July 2007 until August 2008, she took up the role of news reporter for KWWL in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Breanne’s next halt was at KJRH in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was their weekend anchor for a long time from August 2008 until July 2015.
A unique program on bullying in Oklahoma fetched Breanne an Emmy. She also received a nomination for her commendable anchoring, in the form of ‘work behind the anchor desk on the weekend morning newscast.’ Currently, she is the weekend anchor for WXYZ-TV in Detroit. She has been with this company’s 7 Action News, since August 2015.
