Brendan Rivers is an American reporter. Rivers joined WJCT News in August of 2018. This was after several years as a reporter and later as News Director at Southern Stone Communications. Which owns and operates six radio stations in the Daytona Beach area. He was previously an intern at WGCU and an assistant at the Shuster Entertainment.

Brendan had anticipated pursuing a career as a composer, arranger, music producer, and recording engineer. An internship at WGCU, the NPR and PBS member station in Fort Myers, convinced otherwise. Rivers decided to pursue a career in radio and public broadcasting.
While he was an intern at WGCU his roles were assisted Engineering staff in various capacities ranging from maintenance to live broadcasting. Helped with production and broadcast of weekly live radio show Gulf Coast Live. Aided in recording and live broadcast of sporting events.
He has also worked as an Assistant recording engineer at The Mix Factory Studios. While there he Assisted Recording Engineers in pre-production, production, and post-production stages of recording. Rivers was a news director at Southern Stone Communications for more than 3 years.
Rivers was also A/V director at salty church for 3 years.
