Alina Selyukh is a Russian-American correspondent. She is currently a business correspondent at NPR. She follows the path of the retail and tech industries not to mention tracking how America’s biggest companies are influencing the way we spend our time, money, and energy. Selyukh began her career in journalism at age 13, freelancing for a local television station and several newspapers in her home town of Samara in Russia.

She received a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, news-editorial and political science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Selyukh also holds a degree in political journalism from Georgetown University. Alina also attended Wharton seminars for business journalists and Penn Wharton public policy grantee.
Alina Selyukh Career
Selyukh began her career in journalism at age 13, freelancing for a local television station and several newspapers in her home town of Samara in Russia. She has since reported for CNN in Moscow, ABC News in Nebraska, and NationalJournal.com in Washington, D.C.
At her alma mater, Selyukh also helped in the production of a documentary for NET Television, Nebraska’s PBS station. Selyukh is a business correspondent at NPR. While there she follows the path of the retail and tech industries.
She tracks how America’s biggest companies are influencing the way we spend our time, money, and energy. Before joining NPR in October 2015, Selyukh spent five years at Reuters. She covered tech, telecom and cybersecurity policy, campaign finance during the 2012 election cycle.
Not to mention health care policy and the Food and Drug Administration, and a few financial markets and IPOs.

Selyukh lives a very private life. Despite being a well known she has managed to keep her love life under a low key. Her social sites suggest that she is a married woman. Unfortunately, she has not shared with the public the name of her husband. There are no reports of her having children ad of now.
