Hawksworth started as an intern for NBC and did the coverage of the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. She also worked as an intern in the sports sector of KPNX in Phoenix, Arizona. Then Erin joined Sinclair-owned ABC’s official Channel WJLA-TV in Washington, DC as a sports anchor on August 20, 2015.
