Victor serves at KKTV as a Weekend Morning and Noon Meteorologist and Morning Traffic Anchor. He is elated to work with the KKTV 11 weather team. Before joining the station, he served at ABC 17 KMIZ-TV in Columbia, Missouri for 3 years and 3 months (November 2017 – January 2021). There he first worked as a weekend meteorologist before transitioning to weather reporter in June 2019. Victor has reported on various weather events, ranging from hail to tornadoes to major snowstorms. In May 2019, he reported on the EF-3 tornado that hit Jefferson City.
Victor has been passionate about meteorology since he was young. He had an extreme passion for weather, which made him watch the Weather Channel. He even burned the logo into his bedroom TV screen. Victor was intrigued by the weather events from the midwest such as damaging wind events and ice storms, and always wanted to pursue a career in meteorology, in order to understand the phenomenon and provide help by alerting people. Snow is his favorite weather condition.
When it comes to his education, he is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology. Away from meteorology, Victor has worked for Shakespeares Pizza Inc. in Columbia, Missouri as a Pizza Chef for 4 years and 8 months. He has also worked as a Key Account Merchandiser at Anheuser-Busch InBev in Denver, Colorado for 1 year.
