At KOMU-TV in Columbia, is where his path to DFW started in Missouri, then passed through TV stations in Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Birmingham, and Kansas City. He has also been honored several times as the best news anchor in Texas by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters and is a multiple Lone Star Emmy Award winner.
