Wragge serves as the co-anchor for CBS 2 News This Morning and CBS 2 News At Noon for CBS 2 New York. Prior to joining CBS2, she worked on WCBS’s 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. broadcasts, until he moved to CBS’s The Early Show (nationwide).
There, he served as morning co-anchor from January 2011 until January 6, 2012, when the broadcast was replaced. He joined WCBS-TV in 2004 for the first time as the station’s 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. sports anchor. In November 2006, Wragge made the transition to news anchor and reported on major events.
These include the 2008 presidential election, Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to New York, the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing of U.S. Airways Flight 1549, and the Brooklyn tornado. Additionally, he covered the scandal that led to the resignation of Governor Eliot Spitzer, the national recession, the East Side crane collapse, and the rebuilding of the World Trade Center.
He has received 21 Emmys, including three wins in the Best News Anchor category. Also, Wragge and his CBS News colleagues won an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for “CBS Reports: Children of the Recession.” Before joining CBS, he worked for NBC Sports.
His assignments included four years as a sideline reporter for NBA game broadcasts, covering the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, and two years covering the WNBA. Additionally, Wragge covered Notre Dame Football, the PGA Tour for five years, and the PBR. Additionally, he anchored NBC’s Sportsdesk reports from 2002-04.
Before that, he spent four years as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. Wragge also has been a host for HGTV, DIY, and the Travel Channel. His broadcasting career also includes positions with KPRC-TV, WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, the NBC affiliate in Houston, Texas, and WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire.
When coming to his education, Wragge attended Mahwah High School, where he was an athlete. He then graduated from the University of New Hampshire where he attended on a football scholarship and received a degree in Liberal Arts.
