Matt Iseman is an American comedian, actor, and television host, who started his career as a physician. In early 2017, Iseman became the first (and only) winner of The New Celebrity Apprentice.
Matt Iseman Education
Iseman was born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Denver. He is the son of a pulmonologist and followed his father into a medical career, earning a B.S. with honors from Princeton University and an M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Matt did his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital in his hometown of Denver and later relocated to the Los Angeles area.

Iseman is a comedian, actor, and television host, who started doing stand-up comedy, with a routine based partly on his experiences as a doctor. Iseman worked with the improvisational comedy troupe The Groundlings and became a full-time professional comedian in 2002. In addition to comedy club work, his medical background has led to his performing for medical and health-related organizations.
He has performed at USO shows in Afghanistan, Bosnia, South Korea, and Hungary. Iseman cites Brian Regan as a comedy inspiration. His comedy outside of humor about medicine and the medical profession is mainly observational and he generally avoids off-color material.

He has hosted the game shows Casino Night on GSN and Scream Play on E! Iseman appears on the home makeover show Clean House as a regular cast member and its companion outtake show, Clean House Comes Clean, both on the Style Network.

He was the narrator of “Dumbest Stuff On Wheels” on “SPEED”. As of May 4, 2010, Matt is the host of Sports Soup, a spin-off of E!’s The Soup, on Versus. He won the 15th overall season and the first run of The New Celebrity Apprentice and appeared as one of the contestants in the third episode of RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race. He is the new host of Live Rescue on A&E, taking over for former host Ashleigh Banfield.
